What is dofollow?
If you are a blogger and familiar with link building, you already heard the word “dofollow” like dofollow blog, dofollow forum, dofollow article directory, dofollow social bookmarking, etc. so you may curious about it, what exactly is mean by dofollow, Right? Ok now let’s break down the term dofollow.
Actually dofollow is nothing. There is a tag called nofollow which tells google not to crawl that mean not to index a link on a page. So we can see if anyone uses the tag nofollow, google will ignore nofollow tagged link while crawling that page.
If any sites or blog do not use nofollow tag, google will crawl link from those site and blog. So we can say if any blog or site doesn’t use nofollow tag, you can consider those particular site or blog as a dofollow blog since google crawl link from those blog or site.
Blog normally use dofollow in comment section to give link juice to their commentator.
Is every blog are dofollow?
No. most of the blog uses nofollow tag. But there are still lots of blog don’t use nofollow tag link this one www.earnbyblog.com . You will get a back link if you comment on this blog.
Why every blog isn’t dofollow?
Well this is a good question. Why people don’t make their blog dofollow. You know internet is heavily hampered by quality spammer. I used quality spammer to refer human spammer. Yea if they know that your blog is dofollow they will spam your comment section. That’s the main reason not to make blog dofollow.
If your blog have got too many link and it looks like a link farm google may penalized your blog that is another reason not to make blog dofollow.
Why people make blog dofollow?
The main reason of making a blog dofollow is to attract people to their site to comment. It is a way to reward commentator by giving link juice. And these will make people interested to leave comment on dofollow blog. There are lots of dofollow blog directory in internet. So dofollow blog easily can be listed in those blog and get some back link for that totally free.
Should I make my blog dofollow?
None knows the best answer of this question well than you. Yea I have already discussed the reason why people make their blog dofollow and why not. So I think now you know the answer. But just mind one thing if you make your blog dofollow then try to keep a balance between your content and link. If your link is more than your content, you may be easily penalized by google.
What is your recommendation?
If people comment on my blog, why I won’t give some thing return? Yea I link to reward my commentator. That’s why I have made my blog dofollow. So if you can maintain a balance between your content and link, you may make your blog dofollow.

I would be willing to take the chance that people will spam to use Do Follow. There are some good spam zappers out there. If someone comments, the least you could do is link back.
Thanks for the comprehensive list of nofollow plugins… I wanted to install Kimmo’s plugin a while ago, but his site was down. This post reminded me of his plugin, and I’ve now got it installed.
One of my colleagues checked out Fast Blog Finder and it’s a load of rubbish, it rarely finds blogs that are dofollow and when it does they are poor, no traffic, low PR and off-topic.
