Log in to SSH, and do the following:<\/p>\n

- Edit\u00a0\/etc\/sysconfig\/network-scripts\/ifcfg-eth0<\/b>\n
- \n
- Change the\u00a0IPADDR<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0GATEWAY<\/b>\u00a0lines to match the new IP and Gateway for the new ip<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
- Edit\u00a0\/etc\/sysconfig\/network<\/b>\n
- \n
- Change the\u00a0GATEWAY<\/b>\u00a0line here if it does not exist in the ifcfg-* file.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
- Edit\u00a0\/etc\/ips<\/b>\n
- \n
- Remove the new primary IP from this file if it is present<\/li>\n
- Add the old primary IP to this file with the format\u00a0<IP address>:<Net Mask>:<Gateway><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
- Edit\u00a0\/var\/cpanel\/mainip<\/b>\n
- \n
- Replace the old primary IP with the new primary IP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
- Edit\u00a0\/etc\/hosts<\/b>\n
- \n
- Replace the old primary IP with the new one if needed. The hostname’s\u00a0dns<\/a>will need to be updated too<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
- Restart the network\u00a0service<\/a>\u00a0to make the new IP the primary\n
- \n
- service network restart<\/b><\/li>\n
- Note:<\/b>\u00a0You’re probably going to be disconnected at this point, and have to log in to ssh using the new primary ip.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
- Restart the ipaliases script to bring up the additional IPs\n
- \n
- service ipaliases restart<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
- Run\u00a0ifconfig<\/b>\u00a0and make sure all IPs show up correctly<\/li>\n
- Update the cpanel license to the new primary IP<\/li>\n
- Verify you can still log in to WHM and there is no license warning\n
- \n
- http:\/\/verify.cpanel.net\/index.cgi<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
